TOM: Tucking yourself into a cozy bed should be the most stress-free part of your day. But if bedbugs are tucked in with you, sweet dreams can quickly turn to nightmares.
LESLIE: Bedbugs are equal opportunity pests and they travel freely between high-end hotels, private homes, and summer cottages. A routine inspection before you unpack can prevent them from making the trip.
TOM: Pull back covers and inspect mattress seams, looking for small, brownish, or reddish dots that signal bedbugs. Check behind headboards, moldings, and mirrors and upholstered furniture.
LESLIE: Hang up your clothing and keep your suitcase off the floor and upholstery. When you get home, inspect and vacuum your suitcase before bringing that bag indoors and launder all of the clothing, whether they’re dirty or not. I’m Leslie Segrete.
