I am building what I call a fort. It will be approx. 20 x 30 x 100 x 8 foot high, insulating concrete forms. I need the step by step process of building this structure. I have the land. It has been perk tested that's it. I need the 1, 2, 3, etc steps and order of who to contact to build this. I have never done anything like this before. Contractors? Licenses? Blue prints? etc Thanks alot I listen when ever I am in the car when you are on WRNN Myrtle Beach
Our Answer
We certainly admire your spirit in taking on a building project of this size, but I recommend engaging the services of a professional. Since you've never done this sort of thing before, it will probably end up taking you much longer (and possibly cost more in fixing first-timer mistakes) than it would if you used the services of a professional contractor. I will say that the ICF (insulating concrete forms) technology is great technology, and I encourage you to check out the web site of the Insulating Concrete Forms Association at ConcreteHomes.com or Forms.org for more information. Best of luck!
