TOM: The beauty of spring lies outside every window and with the right care for screens and storms, you’ll actually (chuckles) be able to see it. Hi. I’m Tom Kraeutler.
LESLIE: And I’m Leslie Segrete with today’s Money Pit Home Improvement Minute.
TOM: Make the most of an early spring afternoon with window care and cleaning. Start by carefully dismantling storm windows and storing them upright with a protective, cushioning cover.
LESLIE: Then, get those window screens clean. Remove screens from your window frames and then, place them on a driveway or any other flat surface and clean both sides with a mild soap and water mixture and a soft bristle brush.
TOM: And after you remove grime from the interior and exterior of each frame, rinse off the window screens with lukewarm water. Once they’re dry, they’re ready to be reinstalled on the windows.
LESLIE: A little care for your window screens will be well worth the clear views you’ll enjoy in the months ahead. I’m Leslie Segrete.
