TOM: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what potential buyers see in your home’s curb appeal has a definite impact on its sale price. Hi, I’m Tom Kraeutler.
LESLIE: And I’m Leslie Segrete with today’s Money Pit Home Improvement Minute.
TOM: In real estate there’s no bigger sales edge than top-notch curb appeal. Your home’s exterior and landscaping are the first impression your home makes. And they can make or break your opportunity for a quick sale.
LESLIE: Before you invest time and money in upgrades, take on basic curb-appeal clean up. Give your home’s exterior a good scrub with a pressure washer to remove those cobwebs and grime.
TOM: Tidy up your lawn, then trim trees and any shrubs that overhang the house and hide it from view.
LESLIE: Then clear away all the outdoor clutter that’s become invisible to you and your family. Store your hoses, garden tools, children’s toys and sports gear, and that’s going to give your home a nice polished look. I’m Leslie Segrete.
