TOM: Is your driveway looking road-weary? Why not use a sunny afternoon to bring back its clean sparkling welcome? Hi, I’m Tom Kraeutler.
LESLIE: And I’m Leslie Segrete with today’s Money Pit Home Improvement Minute.
TOM: A good cleaning will clear your driveway of dirt, grime, salt and sand. Just mix up an oxygenated stain-removing cleanser and apply it to the driveway surface with a stiff brush. Let the cleanser sit on the surface for five to ten minutes to loosen the stains and grime.
LESLIE: Once the cleanser has done its magic, rinse it away with a hose. You can also use a power washer, but remember, using too much water pressure can erode the driveway surface.
TOM: If you’ve got a really big driveway to clean, work in sections to get thorough results. With this easy driveway-cleaning project, you’re just steps away from sparkling addition to your home’s curb appeal. I’m Tom Kraeutler.
