TOM: With some strategic thinking it’s possible to repurpose existing space into a hobby room, workshop, or studio. For starters, commandeer a closet, look for a nook in the garage or basement, or reuse a room that doesn’t see much traffic.
LESLIE: Before purchasing materials for your space, sketch the layout on paper, think about project needs, and design a work triangle that will make your work efficient and pleasant.
TOM: Depending on the projects you do and the tools you need, additional power and light may also be in order.
