TOM: If your family’s squad of scholars gets distracted and disorganized during the evening study sessions create an area that encourages academic success, homework help, and family harmony.
LESLIE: Start by defining the space. Whether you’re working with an entire room or a fraction of one, establish borders to mark off adequate space and signal quiet time. Screen out noise and other distractions and ensure easy observation for safety and keeping your kids on task.
TOM: Arrange equipment and supplies for efficiency with enough wiggle room to keep both right- and left-handed scholars comfortable, and be sure to allow enough individualized storage space for each student.
LESLIE: Create a space that’s well lit, well ventilated, and well organized and your family will be set for study time success. I’m Leslie Segrete.
