Project Instructions
When working with mortar mixes, always wear eye protection and waterproof gloves.
Step 1
Prepare the mortar joints using a hammer and chisel to remove any deteriorated mortar to a depth of ¼ inch to ¾ inch.
Step 2
Clean out the joint using a wire brush.
Step 3
Apply the mortar repair by puncturing the seal inside the applicator tip and placing the cartridge into a standard caulk gun.
Step 4
Apply the Mortar Repair caulk using firm pressure, filling the mortar joint from back to front.
NOTE: QUIKRETE Mortar Repair has a special square applicator tip that is designed to smooth the caulk as it is being applied.
Step 5
Excess QUIKRETE Mortar Repair can be safely removed with a damp cloth.
