The water hoses leading from your washing machine to the water line can cause big trouble if not properly maintained. With time and wear, these hoses are prone to leaking and even bursting. Check the hoses for cracks or blisters. Replace them every five years, or, better yet – consider installing steel hoses. Also, think about installing a single lever shut off valve just for the washer. Turning the valve off between uses is the best way to prevent a costly flood.
