Microirrigation
TOM: This summer, you can keep water bills low and landscaping luscious with microirrigation. Hi, I’m Tom Kraeutler.

TOM: Also known as drip irrigation, microirrigation helps landscaping thrive through targeted timed watering. A microirrigation system puts water right where the plants need it: at the roots.
LESLIE: Installing a microirrigation system is a simple summer project. You’ll need an adaptor to connect to your household water supply, along with drip hoses, tubing, and sprayers.
TOM: Microirrigation allows you to give individual attention to plants while regulating overall water use. Just wrap the tubing around shrubs, wind it through garden beds, and add it to hanging plants.
LESLIE: You can even create different watering zones within your microirrigated yard, and adding timers takes the last of the guesswork out of watering. I’m Leslie Segrete.
