TOM: Cleaning your home with safe, natural cleaners you make yourself is a great fall project. You can do it with just a few common household products. Hi, I’m Tom Kraeutler.

TOM: Instead of turning to synthetic chemical-heavy products, try sustainable solutions for your cleaning chores. For example, white distilled vinegar in water combine to make a great streak-free cleanser for your windows and wood floors.
LESLIE: Spruce up wood furnishings with a mixture of olive oil and lemon juice. It’s a great polishing solution. A little pre-test in a hidden area will help you predict the results.
TOM: To freshen up a kitchen drain, try pouring in a half cup of baking soda followed by half a cup of white distilled vinegar. Twenty minutes later, flush the drain with boiling water.
