Always close door, windows and vents to rooms you don’t use to save on your energy bills. But there is one door that you should OPEN to save money. It’s your dishwasher door. Air drying your dishes instead of heat-drying them is a great way to save money and energy. If your dishwasher doesn’t have an automatic air-dry switch, turn off the control knob after the final rinse, and prop the door open a little. The air will dry out your dishes without soaking your energy bill. For more great energy and money saving ideas, check out the Alliance to Save Energy at www.ase.org.
