Ceramic tile is a popular building material but grout can be difficult to maintain. Grout is porous which allows it to absorb liquids that can leave behind stains. To keep your tiles and grout looking their best, try these three tips.
1. Use darker grouts whenever possible when installing tile.
2. For existing tile, clean grout thoroughly, and then apply grout sealers to keep stains from soaking in.
3. Consider upgrading to newer epoxy grouts. Although more expensive and harder to apply, they resist staining and will keep your tile looking like new.
