Before calling it quits on outdoor chores this year, invest some time in making your home exterior safer. Slippery surfaces around pool decks walkways, patios and driveways become increasingly riskier in cold, damp or wet weather. One of the best ways to make these surfaces safer is to apply an anti-slip sealer, such as TracSafe Anti-Slip Sealer.
With anti-slip ratings up to twice the OSHA standard, TracSafe provides aggressive anti-slip performance with all-weather durability. And it performs double-duty, as both a high performance clear coat that strengthens and protects surfaces, while also helping to protect the people who walk on it from slip and fall mishaps.
Trac-Safe is a high-performance, odorless water-based technology that bonds firmly to all types of flooring materials. On the outside of the home it enhances concrete, masonry, stone, pavers and even tile.
How TracSafe stops slippery surfaces
TracSafe’s anti-slip coating technology lays down a uniform foot traction surface that exhibits effective slip resistance properties in both wet and dry conditions. Whether you’ve got bare feet or you’re wearing various kinds of footwear, the surface is slip-resistant.
The aggressive bond strength of TracSafe locks its slip-resistant performance into place to battle the most common and challenging conditions. TracSafe has excellent adhesion and is designed to last with outstanding resistance to sun, snow, water, salt, chemicals, snow shoveling, foot and vehicle traffic.
There’s no horizontal concrete surface that won’t benefit by adding TracSafe. Once applied, the exceptional slip-resistant features of the sealer helps people avoid dangerous slips and falls. The result is the potential to reduce prolonged pain for individuals, plus insurance costs for homeowners involved in accidents.
How to apply TracSafe® Anti-Slip Sealer
The exterior surface you apply TracSafe on must be clean and dry, free from dirt, dust, oils, peeling paint and other debris. So, pressure wash the surface first and let dry. Or, you may need to scrub the surface with TSP (trisodium phosphate) for a thorough cleaning, and then rinse thoroughly. Let the surface dry completely.
Stir the premixed TracSafe well with a stir stick before each use and then pour into a paint tray. Use a paint brush or 10mm roller to apply. Two uniform coats are recommended six to eight hours apart. Do not step on the surface while it’s tacky and leave more drying time if you live in a damp or cool area.
