I’m experiencing a problem with what may be an efflorescence build up on my foundation walls. I’m beginning to notice thick, white, unattractive streaks forming. What do you recommend I can do to resolve this problem?
Our Answer
The white stains you are seeing is a mineral salt deposit known as efflorescence. Fortunately, efflorescence is very easy to clean. You can easily remove efflorescence buildup with white vinegar. Spray full-strength vinegar directly onto the stain and rinse with clean water. That will eliminate the unsightly efflorescence buildup on your walls.
